While similar in concept, the Lectro-Treat outperforms vacuum chamber plasma treaters by providing uniform coverage of 3 dimensional parts while minimizing safety, energy, and productivity issues.

Lectro-Treat	Vacuum Chamber Plasma
Total uniform 360 degree treatment of the three dimensional parts.	Total uniform treatment inside and out. Also is used for surface cleaning.
No heat damage to the part being treated. Little or no heat added to the part.	High heat from inert gas can, over heat parts.
Parallel surface treatment of the part with the electrical discharge, no damage to the part surface.	Surface Treatment is an impingement of gasses on parts. Over treatment can oxide the surface and change surface appearance.
No personnel safety hazards with high voltage. Less .001 amps in the electrical discharge.	High frequency power supplies can cause possible interference with electrical/PLC based operations.
Low frequency, 50-60 Hz operation.	High frequency ranges from 40 kHz to 13.56 kHz.
Efficient operation, low power consumption. From 4KW to 14KW.	Higher power consumption from 40 KW to 50 KW and operational cost with inert gases.
Basically maintenance free, periodic cleaning with a brush.	High maintenance to seals, pumps, and gas fittings.
Continues rates non-batch treating.	Batch process with cycle times up to 15 minutes.
Smaller self-contained unit and can be added onto as production increases.	Much larger space required for vacuum chamber and support equipment.
