Treat 3-D Parts Without a Vacuum Chamber

Taken from www.plasticstechnology.com May 1998 page 37

A new plasma surface treater from Lectro Engineering Co., St. Louis, is a non-vacuum, open-atmosphere, Continuous system that treats three-dimensional plastic surfaces to enhance bonding of inks, paint, labels, foams, and adhesives.

The system creates an electrical plasma inside a tunnel. As a part is conveyed through the "cold" plasma field, it is treated evenly over its exterior and interior. This unit can accommodate all sizes of three-dimensional parts, from syringe tips to 55-gal drums and auto bumpers.
